The black Persian fritillary (Fritillaria persica) will definitely appeal to all lovers of exotic plants. It owes its unmatched visual assets to the unique clusters of flowers that consist of almost black, bell-shaped flowers that sit atop on long petioles. This plant belongs to the group of larger bulb plants, as it grows up to 1 metre tall. It adorns the garden with its magnificent flowers in spring, from April to May.
Plant black Persian fritillary at the end of summer or at the beginning of autumn. Place the bulbs 15 centimetres deep and 25 centimetres apart. Persian fritillary prefers sunny sites and fertile, moist, permeable soil. Please note that this plant is fully resistant to frost, what allows you to leave its bulbs in the soil for the winter.
One package contains 10 bulbs of the black Persian fritillary, sized 20-24 centimetres in circumference. The bulbs are grown and delivered by Dutch growers, what guarantees their highest quality.
