The Blue Ocean crocus is a tiny, but lovely bulbous flowering plant. It stands out from its relatives with an exceptional colour depth. Clusters of vividly purple-blue flowers develop in early spring among the first to decorate the garden. We recommend planting the fifteen-centimetres tall crocuses on the very edge of the composition, so that nothing obscures the view of their graceful flowers. As it is often the case with bulb flowers, you can achieve the best effect by planting this crocus in larger groups. Its distinct colour helps diversify rock gardens and naturalistic plantings on lawns. A crocus field under canopy of trees or next to shrubs look simply amazing. You should also try arranging Blue Ocean crocuses in pots to decorate entrances, porches, balconies, and terraces.
Plant crocuses in autumn to let them bloom in spring. Mid-September to the end of October is the best time for this activity. Put bulbs six to eight centimetres under the soil surface and ten to fifteen centimetres apart. Crocuses love basking in sunlight, but tolerate dispersed partial shade. Irrespective of the lighting conditions, they need a fertile, humus, and sufficiently moist soil. A site that warms up quickly will be of an advantage for them. Fertilize your crocus cultures and do not forget to water them during spring droughts. Observing those duties guarantees that plants will produce large and long-lasting flowers.
Package contains 100 bulbs of the Blue Ocean crocus. Essential plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
