Medium late 'Afro F1' carrot, recommended for storing, is a hybrid, dependable cultivar with a vegetation period of 130 days. It produces cylindrical, regularly shaped roots that are narrower in the lower part. It takes on an orange, even, juicy colour without any discolourations. The average ripe root of the variety offered in our store grows 18 cm long and weighs 100 g. 'Afro F1' carrot has been grown for direct consumption and storing. It does not accumulate the harmful nitrates.

Carrot (Daucus carota) is a species belonging to the Apiaceae family.

It develops a thick, delicious and healthy root in the first year and sprouts a flowering stalk in the second. Permeable, aerated, water-retaining and fertile soils suit this plant best. 'Afro F1' carrot develops exceptionally long roots, so it yields highest quality crops grown in ridges. It is sweet, juicy, rich in carotene (12 mg%), vitamin C, healthy sugars (8% of dry weight), fibre and minerals.

Packages available in our store contain 5 g of the 'Afro F1' medium late carrot seeds.
