If you dream of a garden filled with magnificent tulips, plant their bulbs in autumn. This species prefers sunny spots and well-drained, fertile, regularly cultivated soil. Enrich the site with an organic fertilizer of your choice to provide developing buds with enough nutrients. Tulips do not tolerate wet, acidic, extremely dry, or barren sites. Mid-September to mid-October is considered the best planting time, although the weather plays a decisive role here. Put bulbs into ten to fifteen centimetres deep holes, no denser than ten centimetres apart.
