'Foxtrot' belongs to the most beautiful tulips that bloom at the beginning of spring, end of March and at beginning of April. The delicate, loosely gathered petals make it resemble a peony. The flower colour gradually changes from pale pink to a more saturated tone. The elegant double 'Foxtrot' tulips come with a sweet scent. These large spherical flowers retain their looks for several weeks and tolerate less favourable weather conditions. They look great on borders, accompanied by grape hyacinths or other similarly shaped flowers. Due to its relatively small size, ca. 40 centimetres, the presented variety is well suited for cultivation in planters. Cut 'Foxtrot' tulip flowers add a charming and colourful touch to interior designs.

Tulips do not have any special cultivation requirements. This plant does not absorb much of your attention. You only need to learn their site requirements in order to enjoy magnificent flowers. Tulips grow best in medium heavy to light soils. A sandy-loam soil needs to be permeable, rich in nutrients and organic matter. We recommend to avoid waterlogging, acidic, heavy and too dry soil. Tulips prefer sunny situations, but several hours per day in the shade will not do them any harm. The site for planting tulip bulbs should be prepared earlier. Verticulate and weed the soil, as well as remove all the larger stones from it. The admixture of ground compost proves to bring the plant substantial benefits and gives them a head start. You may also add a little sand to the soil in order to make it lighter. You do not have to excavate tulip bulbs every year, but doing so every 3 to 4 years strengthens plants. It also allows you to propagate tulips with offsets. The plants tolerate European winters and can remain on the same site for several years.

Tulip bulbs need to be planted in autumn. September and October are considered the best months for executing this task. The optimal planting depth equals twice the height of a bulb. The spacings between plants depend on the effect that you wish to achieve. Take 15-20 x 15-20 centimetres as a starting point.

One package contains 5 bulbs of the 'Foxtrot' tulip, sized 12/13 cm. The basic plant facts and a growing guide were printed on the packaging label.
