The subtle Spring Beauty crocus will attract attention of many fans of spring flowers. Its small, unusually coloured flowers constitute a real treasure of a garden that wakes up to life after the winter. They do not require much space to enchant the environment.

The 10 cm tall plants - one third of that height are the flowers - bloom early in spring, often shooting up from the snow. The flowers of this variety are purple-blue with a deep purple spot outside. It might bring an ink blot to mind. The darker stripes run down the perianth tube to the ground. The orange centre of a small flower cup consists of a triple pistil and anthers. All these parts constitute a wonderful, unique sight. The grass-like silver striped leaves develop after the flowers.
