Cucumber "Monika" (Cucumis sativus) for field and tunnel cultivation belongs to a group of valuable parthenocarpic varieties that produce fruit without prior pollination. This vigorous plant sprouts large numbers of only female blooms, from which cylindrical, regularly shaped and sized, 10 - 12 cm-long fruit develop. Crunchy, delicious fruit flesh is hidden under coarse, dark green peel. Thanks to their excellent taste "Monika" cucumbers can be eaten raw, in sandwiches and salads. They can also be frozen and pickled, especially short-term.

Thanks to the short vegetation period this variety available in our store is perfectly suited for accelerated cultivation under heated covers from the winter sow. You may also cultivate it on the field from seedlings produced in spring and summer. In order to enjoy rich, highest quality crops, it is worth to provide cucumber plants with a sunny and wind-sheltered site with a rapidly warming up, fertile, permeable and constantly moist soil. Harvest takes place from March until October, depending on the time of sowing.

Each package contains 2 g of "Monika" cucumber seeds for field and tunnel cultivation. A growing guide and the sow-by date are included in the package information.
