Cypress Vine is an annual vine with pinnate foliage and brilliant red flowers. Its flowering period begins in the summer and ends in the autumn; it lasts from July to October. Growing 180 to 250 centimetres in height, Cypress Vine is an ideal plant to be grown on balconies, pergolas or in gardens.

Growing: sow the seeds in covered pots from March to April. Plant out into a permanent position in late May. The plants are sensitive to cold (they require to be grown at temperatures above 5oC). The seeds germinate in 10 to 14 days at 15-18oC. The plants require calcareous humus soils and sunny positions; make sure that the soil is at least slightly moist for the plants to thrive.
