The Arthur Hambley dahlia is one of the most stunning representatives of giant-flowered dahlias. Its huge flowers instantly attract attention with their unusual pink colour. Wide tear-shaped petals with gently waved edges display subtle streaks of a slightly darker shade of pink. This unusual pattern resembles watercolour brushstrokes. The Arthur Hambley dahlia is a tall, up to 110 centimetres in height, majestic plant that brilliantly decorates the garden throughout the summer and the beginning of autumn. This impressive dahlia perfectly fills sunny borders and large containers alike. Its gargantuan flowers look great in vases. Just a few of them create a dazzling decorative effect.

If you would like to provide your dahlias with optimal growing conditions, plant them at a sunny spot, in fertile, well-drained soil. The soil should not be too compact, but rather loose and soft. Applying a drainage layer of small pebbles or gravel at the bottom of the hole where you plant dahlias is considered a good practice. In addition to that, we highly recommend adding mature compost or other plant food to the planting hole. Tuber tops should only be covered with a thin layer of soil, while the thick tubers and roots should rest deeper in the ground. Equip taller varieties like this one with supports at the time of planting. You can later tie tall plants carrying huge flowers to them. Weeding, watering, and fertilizing all belong to necessary treatment in dahlia cultivation. Regular removing of faded inflorescences helps plants bloom longer and more profusely. Dahlias are not hardy and must be dug up before the winter and stored in frost-free rooms.

Each package contains one first choice dahlia seedling of the Arthur Hambley variety. Look for basic plant facts and growing tips on the package label.
