A sunny and sheltered spot allows dahlia to grow healthy and abundantly. Fertile, humous, well-drained soil is the optimal place to grow a dahlia of any variety. This species prefers moderate humidity, a place that is too wet or even waterlogging, causes rotting of ther bulbous roots. Enrich the site with compost, and if the soil is too heavy, loosen it with sand before planting. Plant dahlias in the garden from the end of April, throughout May. Shall there be risk of frost, cover the freshly set culture with garden fleece. Place tubers in holes so that there is an about 5-to-8 centimetres thick layer of soil above their tops. To obtain earlier flowering plants, you can force dahlias indoors in winter. You have to dig out dahlia tubers from the ground in autumn. This species does not tolerate the cold and quickly dies in low temperatures. Store tubers in a cool utility room, basement, or garage.
Each package contains one first quality dahlia seedling. Basic plant facts and a growing guide were included in the product information on the packaging label.
