The Gabriella dahlia can quickly become you favourite at a summer and autumn flower bed. Dahlia, a plant that blooms continuously for three months, decorates gardens like no other plant. This variety stands out with a 'washed' colouring. A dark pink blush of various saturation adorns white petals. The developing petals, packed in a dense cluster, form the central point of each flower. Their nice darker colour tone adds character to the already picturesque flowers. The Gabriella dahlia grows 80 centimetres on average. Its lush feathery and vividly green leaves wonderfully accentuate the pinkish colouring of the blooms.  Dahlias are plants valued and grown by many people. This excellent variety wonderfully adorns borders and other plantings. It is one of the best plants to create charming colourful rows alongside fences or around terraces.

Dahlias cannot winter in the ground in most parts of Europe. You have to excavate the rootstock in autumn. Trim the stems first and then carefully dig out the tuberous roots. Place the rootstock in boxes that you should keep in cool temperature above freezing point. We recommend covering the rootstock with sand or peat for better protection.

All dahlias require a permeable, moderately yet constantly moist soil that is rich in nutrients and has a neutral reaction. Due to the size and frailty of the stems, we recommend growing dahlias on situations that are not exposed to strong wind. Staking of the flower-carrying stems might be necessary. Dahlias require regular watering, feeding, and topping of wilted flowers. The latter measure prevents plants from developing seeds. With a little luck, the Gabriella dahlia will delight you with its blooms for many years to come with its flowers.
