The Maki dahlia is a variety whose flower reach impressive size. This plant develops a compact, bushy appearance and adorns the garden from late summer to autumn. Its numerous huge light pink flowers with a diameter of over 20 centimetres are covered with dark pink stripes. These tall, 100 to 120 centimetres tall shoots are densely covered with bright green, dentate leaves. Their uniform colour wonderfully accentuates cheerful flower heads. Maki dahlia is a reliably and long blooming plant. Large bushes richly sprinkled with huge flowers constitute a stunning sight in every garden. This magnificent species is worth growing next to buildings, alongside fences, and at gazebos. A flowery hedge will also be a nice component of places of relaxation and terraces, where it will introduce an unforgettable mood. Dahlia flowers can also be cut and used in marvellous bouquets and compositions. The attractive appearance of the fresh compositions lasts for five to ten days.

Choose a wind sheltered site with unrestricted exposure to sunlight to grow the tall Maki dahlia. Presented species thrives in a permeable, humous, light soil that is also rich in nutrients. Regular feeding and watering of the plants would be recommended in case of less fertile soils. Fertilization with compost and manure is recommended and brings excellent results. Dahlia is a perennial that should be excavated before the winter. After removing soil rests, store them in boxes filled with peat or sawdust in a cool room.
