The Noordwijks Glorie dahlia is a variety whose large tea-coloured flowers will attract attention of many onlookers. Dahlias are always valued for their elegant appearance, no matter if they grow in a garden, on a plot, or in a planter. The majestic erect stems of the large tufts are unbeaten when it comes to flowering. In case of dahlias, it starts late in summer. The orange-yellow flowers of the presented variety please the eyes and can therefore grow on their own. The Noordwijks Glorie dahlia belongs to the ornamental dahlia group and grows up to 120 centimetres tall. Due to its size it is recommended for growing for cut flower.

Dahlia is a species that can be successfully grown in most gardens provided some basic criteria are met.  The proper exposure to sunlight is crucial for the healthy growth of the plants and development of the beautifully coloured flowers.  Because of the frail shoots, we recommend planting dahlias on sites that are sheltered from strong wind. Even on those protected sites, dahlias might require staking. Dahlia requires neutral or slightly acidic soil that is rich in nutrients, permeable, and constantly moist. Plant the tuberous rootstock 5 to 10 centimetres deep, between April and July. It is highly recommended to wait with the planting until mid-May to avoid late frost. Dahlia plants require watering and feeding with fertilizers, as well topping of the wilted flowers. Dahlia rootstock must be excavated in autumn and stored in temperature above freezing point until the next planting in spring.

Each package contains 1 first choice piece of rootstock of the Noordwijks Glorie dahlia. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package.
