Dahlia 'Noordwijks Glorie' has very large, fully double flowers in warm shades of orange and yellow. Its intense colouring brings the garden to life in the second half of summer. It grows quite tall and produces strong, stiff stems, so it does not need support and holds its heavy blooms steadily. It is best given a place at the back of a border, where it can provide a backdrop for lower plants. The flowers are long-lasting and excellent for cutting for the vase.
Tubers are best planted from April to May.
The recommended planting depth is 5-10 cm.
Plant 40-60 cm apart.
This variety reaches 90-120 cm.
Flowers from July to October.
The tubers should be lifted before winter, as they are not frost-hardy, and stored at a temperature above 0 C.
Dahlia 'Noordwijks Glorie' works well in border plantings and as a taller accent in mixed arrangements. Its intense colours combine well with varieties in shades of red, purple and green. It is also suitable for cutting - in a vase it keeps its freshness and rich colour for a long time.
