Beginning of May is the right time to plant dahlia rhizomes in garden. A warm, sunny, wind-sheltered site suits these plants best. The soil needs to be fertile, moderately moist and rich in humus. We advise to enrich it with compost or standard fertilizer in spring. Dahlias are frost-sensitive, so their rhizomes need to be excavated before the winter and store indoors until spring.
