Dahlia "Pippi" (Dahlia) develops large, beautifully coloured blooms that introduce a true colour extravaganza into your garden. These round inflorescences take on bright orange colour, but after a closer inspection they reveal a pattern of red dots and smudges. This extraordinary variety belongs to the taller dahlias, as its erect stems may reach up to 100 cm in height. "Pippi" dahlia will bloom in July already and retain its ornamental value even way into October. We recommend to keep a central part of a border for it or plant his dahlia in a larger grouping.

Middle of spring is the right time for planting dahlias outside on borders. These plants prefer sunny, wind-sheltered sites. The soil needs to be rich in nutrients and humus, constantly moist and permeable. We recommend to mix the soil on dahlia sites with a dab of fertilizer of compost. This tall growing variety requires staking. Dahlias do not winter in the ground, need to be excavated and store inside until spring.
