The Topmix Apricot dahlia belongs to dwarf single-flowered dahlias that produce charming flowers. Their inflorescences consist of large, broad petals that loosely surround a centre made of disc florets. The charming Topmix Apricot flowers spread their charm at flower bed forefront, at the path edgings, and look splendid in planters. The low growing, 30 to 40 centimetres tall dahlias, to which the Topmix Apricot belongs, like the company of their differently coloured relatives, but they can also be combined with other plants that have a fixed place at a flower bed or on a lawn. Their feathery bright green leaves harmonize well with the colours of simple flowers.

Dahlias belong to heat-loving plants. They will be grateful for planting them on sheltered and sunny sites. They like fertile, permeable soil that is also rich in nutrients - you can fertilize them with compost, manure, or a mineral fertilizer before and after planting. W recommend preparing the dahlia growing site in autumn already by tilling and fertilizing the soil 30 to 40 centimetres deep.

Plan the planting of rootstocks for spring after the risk of frost is gone.  Place the rootstock in shallow holes, cover with soil, and water. Dahlias grow vigorously and need to be fed and water all season long. Topping the plants of the wilted flowers positively influences plants. It stimulates the plant to produce new buds. Dahlias are perennials that do not winter in the soil. You must dig out the rootstocks after the first frost in autumn the latest. Store the tuberous roots, with trimmed down stems, in a cool room, covered with sand or peat.

Each package contains 10 premium quality dahlia rootstocks of the Topmix Apricot variety. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package.
