The White Aster pompon dahlia (Dahlia) produces flowers that look like large snow balls they are filled with myriads of gently rolled pearl-white petals that form dense whorls that surround a convex centre. Each of the erect, 70 to 80 centimetres tall stems carries one of such flowers. The plant takes on a bushy appearance that looks compact thanks to the large compound leaves that consist of dentate dark green leaflets. The beautiful elegant tufts of the White Aster dahlia look best planted in groups. You can grow them at your favourite place of relaxation, in a row alongside a path leading to the front door, or use as background for a perennial border - the deep green colour of leaves and clean white of the flowers harmonize with every colour arrangement. Presented variety flowers from July to October.
Growing dahlias should start late in spring with the preparation of the soil: the ground must be weeded, moderately compact and moist. Due to the high volume growth of the green mass and rich flowering, a pompon dahlia has high nutritional requirements. It reacts equally well to the organic and mineral fertilization. The plants develop equally well in the sunlight as in partial shade.
A single package contains 10 large rootstocks of the White Aster pompon dahlia. You will find the essential plant growing instructions on every package.
