The White Aster pompon dahlia (Dahlia) produces flowers that look like large snow balls – they are filled with myriads of gently rolled pearl-white petals that form dense whorls that surround a convex centre. Each of the erect, 70 to 80 centimetres tall stems carries one of such flowers. The plant takes on a bushy appearance that looks compact thanks to the large compound leaves that consist of dentate dark green leaflets.
