The double-flowered columbine selection Barlow mix is a great proposition for those looking for an original perennial that does not need full sun to produce lots of attractive flowers. It cheers up the surroundings from spring to the beginning of summer. Columbine, a well-known plant, can be found in home gardens across Europe. Clusters of feathery leaves constitute a splendid decoration on their own, but adding full, multi-coloured flowers makes the plant a indisposable part of a perennial border or flowerbed. The long and abundantly flowering double-flowered columbine would also adorn a rock garden or surroundings of a larger shrub, or tree. Due to the good durability of cut columbine flowers, you can arrange them in unique bouquets.

All columbines included in the Barlow mix are fully frost-resistant and do not cause any problems in cultivation in moderate or continental climate. In addition to that, this undemanding perennial would be satisfied with average soil, provided it has been fertilized with compost, is moderately moist, yet also permeable. Columbine feels best at sites that are not exposed to direct sunlight. Divide plants every few years after flowering. Water the plant only in case of a persistent drought, feed with mineral fertilizers from June onwards. Columbine gradually dies off after flowering. That is why we recommend planting them next to perennials that spread their charm from mid-summer to autumn.

Each package contains one first quality seedling of the double-flowered columbine Barlow mix. Packaging label contains basic plant facts and a quick growing guide.
