The Roselily 'Lorena' lily (Lilium orientalis) will delight you with the exotic beauty of its huge flowers. This unique garden lady develops unusual double flowers. Their petals are layered - one flower can comprise several dozens of them. The flesh, long, pointed petals are tongue-shaped. They are long and bent outwards. The inflorescence resembles a guzmania flower, yet is way larger and more compact. Its sweet dazzling fragrance cannot be described with words. It makes the presented variety the ideal candidate for growing in place of relaxation in the garden. The bicolour petals of the 'Roselily Lorena' are also worth your attention. They take on a vividly pink colour with a dark fuchsia stripe running through the middle. A thin white edging completes the picture. The darker, wildly distributed speckles only add to the charm of the flowers.

The cultivar that we present here belongs to medium tall varieties. It grows 70 to 90 centimetres tall. It has strong, erect and densely leaved stems that end with erect umbels. The beautifully scented and tremendous 'Roselily Lorena' lily can become a treasure of every flower bed or border. We recommend to plant it in dense groupings or rows, preferably with its relatives of the 'Roselily' cultivar group, such as the 'Aisha', 'Clarissa', 'Dejima', 'Patricia' and 'Samantha'. Bulbs of the oriental lilies should be planted in spring at least 25 centimetres apart. Choose a sunny or partially shady site with a permeable, slightly acidic, humous soil. You will admire the fascinating double flowers during the second half of summer. You can and should put them into vases thanks to the excellent durability of the cut flowers.
