The double ice-cream 'Renown Unique' tulip looks like a half-open peony flower that is supported by a long green stem that is surrounded by large leaves. It grows 50 to 55 centimetres tall and usually blooms in May. Its flowers are filled with a large number of raspberry red petals that are surrounded by a few light green petals. This unique tulip variety is recommended for planting in larger groups on flower beds and lawns. We also suggest to grow this variety for cut flowers, as it provides excellent floristry material.

The 'Renown Unique' tulip grows best on sunny or partially shady sites with a fertile, moderately moist, loose and permeable soil. Bulbs of the presented tulip should be planted in autumn 12 centimetres deep and apart. It can be left in the soil for the winter, but we recommend to cover the site with mulch or conifer twigs.
