Douglas fir is a perennial coniferous plant which is characterised by small, thick needles packed in high spacial density. The needles are a delightful green with a clearly visible blue shine. Douglas Fir does not shed its needles in the winter, thanks to which it can embellish the garden all-year-round.
Growing: Sow the seeds under cover from February to October or without covers from May to October (after 3 years). The seeds should be covered with a thin layer of soil and kept in shade until germination. Plant out into a permanent position once sprouting is strong enough.
