Dwarf field tomato 'Malinowy Bosman', a medium early, determinate variety intended for preserves that produces high quality fruit with raspberry red flesh. These berries take on a characteristic, cylindrical shape with a small tip at the ends. They are firm, crunchy and have only 2 to 3 seed chambers. A ripe fruit weighs between 70 and 90 g. Its skin is thin, the flesh compact, sweet and appetizingly blood-red coloured. The peduncle goes of the fruit easily what makes gardener's work much easier.
Raspberry tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum) should be eaten not only for their great taste, but for their excellent nutritional value. The lycopene that the fruit contain gives them red colour and limits the harmful influence of the free radicals. This compound also protects the body from cancer and prevents from cardiovascular diseases.
Tomatoes are also a rich source of fibre, beta-carotene, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium and other minerals. The crops won from 'Malinowy Bosman' tomato cultures may be consumed directly or processed.
Sow seeds for seedlings in a warm room in early spring. Pricking out the seedlings may allow to develop stronger roots, but this measure is not mandatory. Transfer young plants to the borders at the end of May or in June, preferably onto a warm, sunny site and fertile soil enriched with compost or special tomato mineral fertilizer.
