"Admires" bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a dwarf, medium early variety that produces stringless, green, broad pods reaching 15 cm in length. They strike with their excellent taste and tenderness. White seeds that contain large amounts of proteins, carbohydrates and B vitamins are hidden within the pods. Bean belongs to vegetables with low glycaemic index that may be safely eaten by people suffering from diabetes. Bean pods contain large amounts of vitamin C and carotene, as well as calcium, kalium, manganese, phosphorus and fibre. They are used in diuretic medicine, help fight different kinds of infections and support functioning of the nervous system. Bean is perfectly suited for direct consumption cooked or fried.

Seeds of the "Admires" bean should be sown directly to the soil from mid-May to mid-July in 40 - 50 x 3 - 5 cm spacings. In order to extend the harvest period you may sow bean seeds in batches, every 10 -14 days until mid-July. The pods become harvest ready from July to September. You should choose sunny and wind-sheltered sites for bean culture. This plant yields best crops in medium compact, humous, quickly warming up, fertile and moderately moist soils. One package contains 30 g of the "Admires" bean seeds, as well as the sow-by date and growing instructions.
