Pole French bean 'Marconi a Grano Bianco' is a valuable medium late variety that produces green, stringless and delicious pods. This plant may grow 2 to 2.5 m tall and needs poles as supports due to a creeping habit. It produces broad, flat pods that may reach length of 28 cm. Soft walls with a tender texture give them exceptional taste, therefore the 'Marconi a Grano Bianco' bean is recommended for direct consumption, freezing and preserves. This cultivar is rich in beta-carotene, vitamin C and minerals, such as calcium, magnesium and potassium. The variety offered in our store may be also used as an ornamental climbing plant to cover gratings, fences and wire nettings.
Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) belongs to the oldest plants grown on Earth. It belongs to less demanding annual plants that appear in our home gardens. In order for the plant to yield rich crops, you only need to provide it with an open, sunny site with a soil that is rich in humus. This soil needs to be medium compact, hence not too dry, yet not too heavy. A dab of compost would enhance the quality of a thick, waterlogging soil, while you may enrich sandy, infertile soil with fermented manure.
Packages available in our store contain 10 g of the 'Marconi a Grano Bianco' pole French bean seeds.
