Emergency fertilizer against browning needles - Substral® - 1 kg belongs to those all-purpose products that can be applied regularly as a precaution and in emegergency cases. It is recommended for fertilizing all conifer trees and shrubs. Nutrient deficiencies, particularly lack of sufficient magnesium supply, causes browning of the needles. Emergency fertilizer against browning needles will provide your plants with the needed amount of the afore mentioned compound. It will replenish other deficiencies and speed up production of chlorophyll, a substance responsible for the green needle colour. The possibility to apply the product to the soil and to the foliage is a great advantage of this product. You will be able to see the effects of its use quickly.
Presented fertilizer is 100% water soluble. You may use the prepared solution to dust the overground plant parts or to water the plants the usual way. You may also broadcast the fertilizer under trees or shrubs. Spread it evenly and then water the plants thoroughly. Use this product all season long, particularly when you spot the first brown needles. Foliar application is recommended in case of acute deficiencies, as it brings almost immediate results.

Application method:

Apply when the need arises. Spread the fertilizer evenly under the plants, mix it gently with the soil and water or dissolve in water and apply during watering or through dusting. The results of the application should be visible shortly.

Complementary fertilization: spread 100 grams of the fertilizer per each 1 m² in case of the lower growing plants (less then 2 metres tall), 200 grams per m² in case of the taller plants (over 2 metres). Water the culture in order to activate the fertilizer. Apply once a year.

Older conifer trees: up to 2 m tall - use 35-50 grams per 1 m², over 2 m tall - apply up to 200 grams per 1 m². Water abundantly (20-60 litres) after the application.

During planting: 25 grams of fertilizer per 10 litres of the soil. Place the required amount of the fertilizer in the planting hole and plough it in.

Substantial magnesium deficiencies: dissolve 200 grams in 10 litres of water. Dust the plants in the morning or in the evening. Do not use in exposure to sunlight. Avoid spraying on the flowers and young stalks.
