The Engadin tulip is a variety that produces huge cup-shaped flowers. Typically for a representative of the Greigii tulips, this plant grows to a modest size of thirty centimetres. Its massive, bright red flowers with a lemon-yellow border take on the classic shape of a pointed crown. Ornamental, intriguingly coloured foliage surrounds each flower stem. These grey-green, broad, and short leaves display streaks of a dark purple pattern, making the variety decorative well beyond the flowering period. Still, presented tulip shows its full potential when the flowers are in full bloom and their petals open wide. The Engadin tulip who reveals its beauty in April and May can adorn borders, flower beds, and rock gardens. The disproportionally large blooms may be used to decorate a balcony or terrace when grown in a pot or a box. Try planting them in rows along paths or a driveway leading to the house.

Tulip of the offered variety will shine at a sunny or partially shaded spot. To achieve a stunning effect, it is worth planting this tulip in groups that turn into a bright, cheerful, and colourful spot during flowering. Growing tulips requires a fertile, humous, and well-drained soil. In order for them to bloom abundantly in spring, plant tulips in autumn. Presented species does not need to be excavated as it winters safely in the ground. When growing tulips at the same site for several years, it becomes necessary to fertilize them regularly with compost or a multi-component mineral fertilizer.

One package contains five bulbs of the Engadin tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres. Basic plant information and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
