Firewheel (Gaillardia pulchella) is an easily cultivated annual plant producing large, chrysanthemum-like inflorescences, that is perfectly fitted for casual, rustic borders. This species grows 30 - 50 cm tall, sprouts erect, stiff stems and looks best in large, multicolour groupings. It also works well as cut flower. You may admire it in full bloom continuously from July to September. The presented variety mix contains seeds that will allow you to grow flowers in different shades of yellow, orange, red, saturated pink, as well as bicolour combinations of the previously mentioned colours.

Indian blanket, or sundance, as this plant is also called, does not present any special requirements in regard to the soil and site. It will thrive in every well drained garden soil that should be moist, humous, yet not too heavy. It likes sunny, sheltered sites and grows well in company of other annual and biennial flowering plants, such as marigolds, asters, garden pansies or zinnias.
