The Gooseberry Sundae hosta (Hosta) belongs to arguably most beautiful cultivars with light green leaves. They take on a cordate, or broad lanceolate, pointed form. Their surface is decorated with regular, ornamental grooves. They sit on contrasting beetroot-red and stiff petioles. Presented perennial takes on a pillow-like form and grows 40 to 50 centimetres tall. We recommend planting it on borders and in rock gardens set up on humous soil with high water capacity. The cheerful leaves of the Gooseberry Sundae hosta constitute a marvellous background for lower growing plants that produce orange, red, yellow, and pink flowers, particularly in the middle of summer when the host develops subtle pale purple flowers.

Rhizomes of the presented variety should be planted outside in spring. Hosta spreads the most in partial shade and needs moisture to do so. Sandy-loam, rather compact, fertile soils that do not dry out are the best for this species. This plant winters in the ground without any problems when covered with dry mulch.

One package contains 10 rhizomes of the Gooseberry Sundae hosta. Essential growing instructions have been printed on each package.
