Deacidification of soil is a necessary measure that allows you to maintain proper pH level of the soil. Too acidic soil may result in limiting nutrient absorption capabilities of the plants. Improving soil reaction ensures optimal assimilation of macron and micronutrients, limiting heavy metals' absorption at the same time. Calcium combined with humus improves soil aeration.

Application method:
liming needs to be performed 3-4 weeks before the planned seeding or planting, before applying other garden soil fertilizers. The lime fertilizer should be applied in autumn or early spring. Spread the granulated lime evenly over the whole fertilized surface and preferably mix with the upper layer of soil, ca. 10 to 20 cm deep. Dosage should be determined according to the reaction and type of the soil. Lawns: extremely acidic soils (pH under 5) - use 4-5 kg per 10 m2; slightly acidic soils (pH about 6) - use 1-2 kg per 10 m2. Such vegetables as pea, carrot, bean, parsley, celery, parsnip, tomato, cucumber and squash do not react well to liming during the vegetation season. Liming of soil intended for cultivation of the above mentioned plants needs to be performed in autumn before the cultivation start the latest. Do not apply lime in cultivation of plants like blueberries, rhododendrons, heathers, etc. Do not apply manure and lime in the same year.
