The stunning grape hyacinths are small-bulb perennials that fit onto path edges, borders, and usually empty patches under trees. They harmonize well with rock garden plants with their fresh colour. Sunny or partially shaded sites suit grape hyacinths best, even though this species belongs to rather undemanding plants. Two main factors in proper, healthy development are nutritious soil and appropriate moisture. You can leave grape hyacinths, planted usually about 7 centimetres deep, without covering for the winter. This plant is winter hardy and survives low temperatures. We recommend feeding plants with a multicomponent fertilizer or well-fermented compost in spring, after the first buds appear. It will supply grape hyacinths throughout the entire season. Presented plant can grow on the same site for several years. When left undisturbed, they should appear in larger groups every year.
