"Green Dreams" Persian fritillary belongs to the lily family. Just like the majority of its relatives, it delights with unmatched beauty. Its tall stems are richly adorned with flowers and look great on flower beds in home gardens. A group of several Persian fritillaries can form the main ornament of a garden. This plant blooms end of April/ beginning of May in Central European climate. Its stems are densely covered with leaves. The whole plant is covered with a waxy coating that give it an intriguing, grey-yellowish colour. The flowers appear on the plant gradually as it develops. The bell-shaped flowers that sit on thin petioles are light green and covered with a plum-purple mist on the surface. The entire cluster takes a conical shape that makes it stand out from other plants. The contrasting colour will also attract attention.

Persian fritillary should be planted in fertile soil in autumn, in September or October. Enrich the soil with compost before planting. This species likes sunlight, but will also thrive in partial shade. We recommend to choose the situation wisely, as fritillaries do not like to be transplanted. It brings best visual results when it can grow on the same site for several years. Excess watering can damage the plant. It is advisable to protect the bulbs with sand drainage layer or plant it on elevated ground.

"Green Dreams" Persian fritillary are typical flower bed plants. They are perfect for planting with other bulb flowering plants and spring perennials. Tall clusters of green bells perfectly complement building walls, fences, and parapets. Their unique colours allow you to create marvellous arrangements and perfectly dose the colours.
