The Icoon tulip lives up to its name. This classic red tulip is spiced up with a fiery orange petal edges. The fiery colouring of the flower cups wonderfully contrasts with the cool, grey-green colour of the leaves. Icoon belongs to double flowered tulips and therefore constitutes a perfect component of floral arrangements on a flower bed, border, lawn, or ca composition in a pot or planter. It is an irreplaceable cut flower that gives bouquets and floral decorations a saturated colour accent. Combined in the garden with other double-flowered varieties, it creates a stunning, picturesque landscape. The spectacular Icoon variety has lately gained on popularity. It usually grows about forty centimetres tall. Attractive, eye-catching flowers of the presented tulip develop in April and May.

Tulips belong to bulbous plants that are easiest to grow thanks to their undemanding nature. Plant their bulbs in autumn at a sunny or slightly shaded place. Tulips prefer well-drained, fertile, and thoroughly cultivated soil. Removing of fading flowers is an important part of the cultivation process. This procedure is called topping. To achieve best possible results, we recommend digging bulbs out in summer, after the leaves turn yellow. Clean and dry them, and plant again in autumn at a different position.
