The deep burgundy colour of the distinctive, nodding flowers is the hallmark of Turk's cap lily 'Claude Shride' (Lilium). The strongly recurved petals give the open blooms the shape typical of this group, while the fine, darker speckling beautifully highlights their rich colouring. The slightly downward-facing buds open freely on tall, slender stems, forming loose, highly decorative clusters. Its striking habit makes this variety an excellent choice for naturalistic garden planting schemes.
