The Black Beauty lily is a charming representative of the orienpet lilies (Lilium OT) that are commonly called tree lilies.  Black Beauty, bred as one of the first crossings of a trumpet and Asiatic lily, inherited vigour from its parents. The sturdy and stunning variety produces characteristic flowers whose petals are reflexed (bent backwards). They are not as big as blooms of other OT cultivars, yet make a great impression since they are gathered in a huge cluster that grows bigger every year. Pink-crimson petals have narrow white edges. Soft nodules adorn the perianth that sometimes displays a hint of green. A bunch of long intricately build anthers that surround the stamen only add charm to the already great looking flowers. A strong stem of the Black Beauty lily grows to an impressive height of 120 to 150 centimetres or even more in favourable conditions. Shiny bright green leaves perfectly complements the exotic looking flowers from June to September.

We recommend planting scaly lily bulbs at the end of September and beginning of October or in spring. Lilies need sunlight or a place in partial shade. They prefer permeable, fertile, slightly moist soil. They like soil with neutral reaction and those slightly acidic too. Lilies do not have high nutritional requirements but like to be fed with compost. You can mulch them with it every spring. Removing of wilted flowers guarantees long, abundant flowering. Thanks to it, the plant would focus on producing new buds instead of seed bags.

Each package contains 1 bulb of the Black Beauty lily sized 18/20. Essential plant growing tips and information can be found on the package label.
