The Long Lady is a plant that produces exceptionally pretty, elongated flowers. This chic variety is highly valued for its long, erect, and sturdy stems, but first and foremost for its fancy flower colouring. Long Lady tulips grow about sixty centimetres tall and can resist strong winds despite their height. Do not hesitate to plant them at open, more exposed parts of the garden. The oblong flowers of the Long Lady variety consist of bicolour petals on which red-pink is fringed with deep yellow. The colours blend wonderfully within their borders, giving the flowers a unique, radiant glow. Petal tips of this tulip are pointed and reflexed. Buds of this tulip variety begin to unfold at the turn of April and May.

Tulips are bulbous plants that must be planted in autumn. Provide tulips with carefully cultivated, fertile, and well-drained soil to achieve best possible results. The largest flowers in deep, saturated colours develop at sunny sites, although tulips tolerate partial shade. Tulips need to be watered during periods of drought that occur within the flowering period. Reduce watering after the flowering period. All tulips are hardy, and their bulbs can stay in the ground all year round. We recommend, though, to dig out the bulbs after the dormancy period in late spring and early summer, and store them in dry, airy room until the September planting.

One package contains five bulbs of the Long Lady tulip, sized 12+ centimetres in diameter. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
