The Mieke Telkamp tulip is an intriguing proposition for every garden and pot. This Fosteriana (Emperor) tulip produces flowers that take on a shape of magnificent cups. Their joyful, creamy-yellow colour beautifully illuminates border borders and rock gardens. Those flowers surprise with a subtle blush on the outside and are built of broad, shapely petals whose tips are slightly arched. Light green foliage with a greyish coating provides a perfect setting for the pastel coloured flowers. The tulip available that we offer here in our store is suited for growing in pots, bowls, and baskets, as well as for cutting and arranging into bouquets. The charming Mieke Telkamp variety grows from twenty to forty centimetres tall. Flowers usually appear between mid-April and early May.

Sunny sites prove to be best for growing tulips. This species tolerates a few hours of shade daily, what may even contribute to a slightly longer durability of the flowers. The same goes for situations that are sheltered from wind. Tulips require fertile, well-drained, and light soil. Bulbs of these flowers are planted in September and October. Planting in groups of ten to fifteen plants brings best results. Tulips do not expect nor require any special care and every gardener can grow splendid flowers in saturated colours.

One package contains five bulbs of the Mieke Telkamp tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres in circumference. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
