Mimosa, also called the Sensitive Plant, is a perennial variety that features little flowers collectively making ball-shaped forms. The unique leaves, which are also slight in size, fold inward when touched and re-open after several minutes. Mimosa can grow up to 60 centimetres in height and is predominantly grown for its one-of-a-kind leaves.
Growing: sow 2 to 3 seeds in each pot (around 8 centimetres in diameter) from March to April. The seeds germinate in 14 to 20 days at 20-22°C. As the seedlings grow, transplant them to larger pots (10 to 12 centimetres in diameter) filled with rich permeable soil. To promote growth, pluck the tips of the seedlings several times in a season. This variety is considered to be fairly easy to grow.
