Rocket, also called arugula (Eruca sativa) is no more associated only with Italian cuisine. This easy-to-grow plant has a distinct taste and its dark green, narrow, dentate leaves sit atop long petioles and are gathered in a tight tuft. They stand out with a distinct, slightly savoury taste and a spicy aroma. They taste great with bread, cured meats, fish, cheese, may constitute salad base or a valuable complement to sauces and soups. They are harvested at an early development stage as cut leaves. Rocket may be grown in a pot all year long.

Seeds of the plant offered in our store are a rich source of vitamin C, B vitamins (including vitamin B9 that is crucial in pregnancy), organic acids and essential oils. Rocket greens also contain valuable glycosides that shows diuretic effects and supports digestion.

E. sativa yields rich crops on every permeable, humous, sufficiently moist soil. You may grow it in the sun and partial shade. It shows resistance to temperature fluctuation and its leaves may be harvested for the first time already within six weeks after the sow.
