Orange dahlia (Dahlia) belongs to vigorous, quickly growing flowering perennials. This plant has a bushy appearance and its branching stems gently spread sideways. Exceptionally large double and brightly coloured flowers, as it befits a decorative dahlia variety, appear above the dense, dentate, green foliage in July. Each of them consists of dozens of slightly inwards rolled, broad, juicy orange petals. Due to the abundant and long flowering, the Orange dahlia presented here is a great stand-alone plant for smaller gardens. If you have a larger space at your disposal, we recommend combining this plant with differently coloured varieties - dahlias that take on a red, yellow, blue, or white colour.
Late spring is the optimal time to start cultivation of dahlias in the garden. Give the plant a site in the sun or in partial shade. It should be in both cases sheltered from the wind. Plant rootstock in a moist, loosened, fertile soil. A dab of compost mixed with the soil will do plants well. In October, when the flowering period ends, dig out the plants and store the rootstock in a cool basement until the next spring.
A single package contains 10 large rootstocks of the Orange dahlia. You will find the essential plant growing instructions on every package.
