The Orphanidea Flava tulip is a vigorous bulb plant that flowers in late spring. It forms clumps that reach height of fifteen to twenty-five centimetres. They consist of long, lanceolate leaves and beautifully shaped, slender, cup-shaped flowers. They take on a deep yellow colour enriched with reflections of orange, red, and brown. Greenish accents can also be spotted, especially on closed buds. This exceptionally beautiful botanical tulip is unrivalled as filling of rock gardens, path edgings, borders, and plant compositions at lawns. You can grow it in containers too. Tulip belongs to easy-to-grow species and presented variety, thanks to its wild origin, is even more resistant to diseases, pests, and weather conditions. It naturalises the garden easily, a feature that is especially important when choosing plants for sunny slopes and embankments.
Spectacular Orpahnidea Flava tulip must be planted in autumn. Those plants require a permeable soil and a sunny place to develop properly. They grow well in humous, moderately moist soil. Regular fertilization and removal of fading flowers contribute to the productive flowering. Botanical tulips can successfully last on one site for several years. Dig out and move their bulbs to another place only after three to five seasons, when they become too dense and produce less and smaller flowers.
Package contains 50 bulbs of the orphanidea Flava botanical tulip, sized 5/6. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
