Pepper "Artist" (Capsicum annuum) is a very early sweet pepper variety. It is recommended for field cultivation, but it may also be planted under unheated covers. These plants grow maximally 50 cm tall, what allows you to plant "Artist" peppers in containers and grow it on a balcony or terrace, too. This variety develops conical, horn-shaped, 10 - 12 cm-long fruit. At first they are green-yellowish and than turn dark red and shiny. Their flesh is juicy, sweet and delicious. "Artist" variety is intended for direct consumption, preserves and freezing. You may use it at any maturing stage.

Pepper is a thermophilic plant, hence it is grown solely from seedlings prepared in a heated and well-lit room. Pepper seeds should be sown end of March / beginning of April to pots. The seedlings may be transplanted to the field in the second half of May after the risk of spring frosts has passed. Plant young peppers in 40 x 30 cm spacings. Fruit start to ripen mid-August and you may harvest them until first frosts. Choose light, permeable, moderately moist soils rich in nutrients. "Artist" pepper should be grown on warm and sunny sites.

Each package contains 0.5 g of red, sweet "Artist" pepper seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
