The Persian Silk Tree is a very interesting and exceptionally decorative perennial variety, which is cultivated as a potted plant in temperate climates, where it can be moved outside to a balcony or terrace once the weather gets warmer. The plant features distinctive, dark green leaves that strongly resemble the leaves of some ferns. Apart from the leaves, another decorative feature of the Persian Silk Tree is its characteristic flowers, which look like a red-, pink- or white tuft of feathers. Overall, this beautiful decorative plant takes the shape of a rather small tree. In latin, it is called Albizia julibrissin. It is also called the Tree of Happiness.

Growing: the plants flower from June to August. This variety grows best in soils that are moderate in minerals; it loves sunny positions.
