Pink alpine squill is a delicate plant that blooms very early. Its pastel flowers, gathered in small clusters, appear in March and April, at the end of February when weather permits. Squill grows ten to twenty centimetres (four to eight inches) tall. That is why we recommend planting it in dense groups. Natural charm of the Alpine squill, its main decorative asset, can add the final touch to bedding compositions and rock gardens. The pink Alpine squill constitutes a valuable addition to forest and naturalistic plantings. Flowering squill can adorn path edges and spring lawns. You can also combine it with shrub groups and perennials with decorative foliage.

Presented pink Alpine squill is not too picky when it comes to growing conditions. It would thrive in partially shaded corners of the garden, when watered properly, in the sun too. Plant squill bulbs in autumn. Place them a few centimetres deep and cover carefully with soil. Squill can stay at the same site for several years and does not require winter covering. Mulching is recommended, though. Ground bark or deacidified peat protects squill from loss of water and weeds.

Package contains 100 bulbs, sized five centimetres plus (two inches plus), of the pink Alpine squill. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the product label.
