The pink martagon lily (Lilium martagon) belongs to the fully hardy varieties that are easy to grow and bloom abundantly. Its unique flower clusters that consist of ground facing blooms hanging on long petioles. A single flower is funnel shaped and consists of lanceolate, back twisted petals. The ornamental large anthers that protrude from the cup give the plant an even more exotic look. Each single flowering stalk is adorned with a number of charming flowers. Up to two dozens of them can develop on a single stem. The blooms of the variety that we present here in our online garden store take on a bright, sweet, pink colour. This plant flowers in July and August. It takes on an erect habit, whose slender, unbranched stem reaches 90 to 100 centimetres in height. The martagon or Turk's cap lilies stand out with rather unusual positioning of the leaves. The tongue-shaped shiny leaves with rounded tips are gathered in regular whorls, one over the other.

Bulbs of the martagon lily can be planted both in the garden and in large tall planters - pots, buckets and baskets. For pot cultivation use standard flower soil, preferably mixed with vermiculite and placed over a layer of expanded clay aggregate or pebbles. In case of garden cultures provide this plant with a permeable, not too compact, humous and moist soil. The light structure of the soil ensures that the bulbs will winter healthily and the plants bloom abundantly every year. The pink-flowered martagon lily looks particularly attractive in casual arrangements on flower beds with other representatives o the same species, e.g. the orange-flowered martagon lily. Small clusters of the slender Turk's cap lilies can be combined with tufts of phloxes, dahlias, lupines, hollyhocks, canna lilies and gladioli.

Each package contains one bulb of the pink martagon lily sized 16/18 cm in circumference. The basic plant growing instructions were printed on the package.
