Platycodon, balloon flower "Fuji Pink" (Platycodon grandiflorus) delights with star-shaped, charmingly pink blooms. The plants grow 50 cm tall. Bell-shaped flowers consist of five spike petals joined together. They grow in large numbers atop erect, branched stems that are also decorated with bluish green leaves and balloon-like buds. The first blooms appear already in June and the blooming continues until August. This easy to grow, long-lived perennial is a great border decoration and may also adorn balconies and terraces in pots.
