The Prof. Anton Kippenberg bushy aster is perennial that flowers in autumn, from August to October. Those low growing plants produce hundreds of tiny lavender blue flowers with yellow centres. Their dense tufts adorned with narrow, dark green leaves, grow no taller than 30 to 40 centimetres. Growth form and the colouring of the plant make this species a popular resident of home gardens and allotments. The late-blooming asters can also adorn pots, planters, rock gardens, and edgings. A dense row of those low growing tufts can also decorate a pavement or a driveway. Using bushy asters as covering plants also becomes more and more popular. This is due to the unmatched beauty of the colourful patches created with them.

Grow perennial asters in permeable, not-too-dry soil. Asters require full sun to flower abundantly. Taking care of asters of the presented variety is not effort nor time-consuming. This plant has standard requirements. It reacts well to organic fertilization and mulching. We recommend to divide and transplant them every few years to rejuvenate the tufts. It requires watering during extended drought periods to protect the base leaves. Aster belongs to plants that are hardy and can survive winters in most regions of Europe. We recommend to cover aster sites in the first year of cultivation

We hereby offer 10 root seedling of the Prof. Anton Kippenberg bushy aster. Basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the product label.
