Pumpkin ‘Baby Boo’ is an annual plant that grows either as trailing or reclining; when grown as trailing, it needs stakes in order to thrive. The shoots grow 5 to 8 metres in length, whereas the plant is in flower from July to August. Pumpkin ‘Baby Boo’ is an outstanding decorative variety, therefore it is recommended for decorating walls, arbours or fences. It can also be used to make lovely dried compositions.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil in May; sow 2 to 3 seeds into each position in 50-100cm spacings. The seeds germinate in 10 to 14 days at 18-20oC. The plants require fertile composted soils, ideally in sunny or semi-shaded positions. 100 to 150 grams of seeds produce around one thousand plants.
