"Red Meat" radish (Raphanus L. )is an excellent variety of the so-called "watermelon" radish with white skin and intensely coloured red flesh. Its roots take on a spherical or slightly ovoid shape and reach large size - up to 10 cm in diameter. There is a crunchy, very delicate, beautifully coloured flesh under the smooth, creamy white skin. The variety offered in our store is a treasury of vitamins, just like the smaller radishes with red roots, but it has a much milder taste with a noticeable, pleasant nutty note. It is excellent for fresh consumption, long-term storage and preserves.
"Red Meat" radish seeds should be sown directly into the soil from late spring to early autumn. The site intended for cultivation of this vegetable should be bright and sunny, with a well-drained, light soil, that is rich in humus. The roots become harvest-ready after 50 days from the start of cultivation.
