Radish (Raphanus sativus) "Saxa 2" is an early harvested variety with classic, round roots with red skin and white flesh. It can be sown directly the whole season long - from March (under covers) or April (uncovered), until August. Crops are harvested from March until June or from September until first days of November, depending on the date of sowing.

"Saxa 2" radish is a graceful, easily grown vegetable intended for direct use. It is rich in B-group vitamins, vitamin C and also contains other nutrients, like iron. Thanks to the presence of glucosinolates it whets appetite and regulates digestive process. The plant is undemanding in terms of site - seeds can be sown into any kind of thoroughly weeded and cultivated garden soil, that is neither dry, nor compact, nor clay, as such environment might negatively affect the root quality. Even average soils, mulched and regularly watered, will bring abundant harvest.
