The Rainbow Xenox orpine (Sedum telephium) has not been named after a rainbow accidentally. This spectacular variety seems to sparkle with a full palette of warm colours, from creamy-white, through various shades of orange and pink to fiery red. This charming colour show takes place from August to October. Flowers of the presented Sedum plant open gradually at irregular intervals. Closed buds are creamy-white, while the fully spread petals are bright red. This plant produces large, dense, erect umbels that have a beautiful setting in form of the dark green foliage. The oval, stiff, fleshy leaves that bring pot succulents to mind, are ornamental on their own. The Rainbow Xenox orpine grows 30 to 40 centimetres tall and develops a bushy, dense, compact habit that pleases the eyes.

This perennial, offered in our garden store, is perfectly suited for sunny and dry situations. Orpines and stonecrops can be grown in partial shade, e.g. semi-wild natural gardens under deciduous trees. These sturdy plants thrive in rock gardens, look great in alpine gardens, and other arrangements inspired by highland landscape. Due to their compact size they fit onto front of a border and edges of multi-species plantings. We recommend growing them because of their late blooming - the Rainbow Xenox orpine provides bright colours where the most of flowers are about to wilt.

One package contains 1 first choice seedling. Essential growing instructions have been printed on each package.
